Impact
Measuring what matters: learning, reflection, and connection through African film.
What We Mean by Impact
Impact, for Tunga, is not measured in views or downloads. It's measured in the quality of conversations that follow a screening, the depth of reflection among learners, and the lasting connections formed between films, educators, and communities.
We believe that learning and reflection are central to meaningful change. A film becomes impactful when it helps someone see their world differently, when it opens space for difficult questions, or when it becomes a tool for teaching and dialogue.
African films function as tools, not outputs. They are not ends in themselves but catalysts for understanding, empathy, and action. Our impact evidence reflects this belief: focusing on human outcomes supported by selective, contextual metrics.

About Our Impact Measurement
Our impact data is collected through direct partnerships with schools, community organizations, and event organizers. We prioritize qualitative feedback alongside quantitative metrics, and we revisit impact stories over time to understand long-term outcomes.
All reports are available for download and review. We believe in transparent, grounded evidence that reflects the realities of educational and cultural work, not inflated claims or marketing narratives.
